Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about AdsWatch and monitoring your Google Ads campaigns from your iPhone and Apple Watch.
After downloading AdsWatch, tap Connect Account and sign in with the Google account linked to your Google Ads campaigns. AdsWatch uses secure OAuth 2.0 — you never share your password with the app. Once authorized, your campaigns load automatically. For MCC (manager) accounts, all sub-accounts appear in a single list.
AdsWatch refreshes data directly from the Google Ads API, which has an inherent delay of 15–30 minutes for intraday metrics. This is a platform limitation, not an AdsWatch issue. Your widgets and Apple Watch will always reflect the most recent data fetched. If data looks stale, pull down to refresh on the main screen.
Yes. With the Unlimited plan, you can connect as many accounts as you need — including MCC accounts with dozens of sub-clients. The Basic plan supports one account. Both plans let you swipe between accounts and configure independent alert schedules per account.
AdsWatch shows the metrics that matter most for day-to-day campaign monitoring: spend, impressions, clicks, conversions, CPA (cost per acquisition), CTR (click-through rate), and trend comparison vs. the equivalent previous period. You can view data for today, yesterday, last 7 days, or last 30 days.
In AdsWatch, go to Settings → Alerts for each account. You can configure notifications to fire daily (at your chosen time), weekly, or monthly. Each notification includes live metrics: spend, conversions, and CPA. This is much faster than logging into Google Ads every morning just to check if campaigns are running correctly.
The Apple Watch app displays the last fetched data even when your iPhone is not nearby. For a live refresh, the watch needs to communicate with the iPhone (which handles the API call). If your Apple Watch has cellular, it can trigger a refresh independently. The watch face complications always show your most recent spend at a glance.
Yes. AdsWatch is built with a privacy-first architecture: your advertising data is fetched directly from Google's API and stored only on your device using iOS Keychain and encrypted local storage. No data passes through Güije Studios servers. OAuth tokens are stored securely and never exposed. AdsWatch complies with Google API Limited Use requirements.
AdsWatch gives you an immediate visual alert when spend is running above trend. When you notice an anomaly, here's a quick checklist: (1) Check if any campaign budgets were recently increased. (2) Review your bid strategy — automated bidding can spike spend with seasonal demand. (3) Check for new broad-match terms attracting irrelevant traffic. (4) Verify your daily budget caps are set correctly in Google Ads. With AdsWatch on your wrist, you can catch these issues within minutes instead of hours.
AdsWatch is currently a monitoring tool — it reads campaign data but does not support write operations like pausing or editing campaigns. This keeps the app focused, fast, and secure (read-only OAuth scope). Campaign management is best done in the Google Ads app or web console. AdsWatch alerts you so you know when to act.
Yes. AdsWatch fully supports MCC (My Client Center) accounts. When you connect an MCC, all sub-accounts are automatically listed. The Unlimited plan lets you monitor all of them simultaneously, with individual widgets, alerts, and Apple Watch complications per account. Ideal for agencies managing multiple clients.
Average CTR on Google Search Ads is typically 3–5% across most industries, though it varies significantly. E-commerce can see 2–3%, while highly branded searches can exceed 10%. Display campaigns typically run at 0.1–0.5%. With AdsWatch, you can monitor CTR trends over time and quickly notice if a campaign starts underperforming — which often signals ad fatigue, poor keyword relevance, or low Quality Score.
Reducing CPA (cost per acquisition) in Google Ads requires a combination of strategies: improve landing page conversion rates (often the highest-impact change), tighten keyword targeting by removing broad-match keywords with poor conversion rates, add negative keywords to filter irrelevant traffic, and review your bid strategy — Target CPA bidding works well once you have sufficient conversion data (typically 30+ conversions/month). AdsWatch keeps your CPA visible at all times so you can act the moment it starts climbing.
